GroupJive first page, forum

GroupJive first page, forum was created by saville
I have a GroupJive 2.3 installation, and if a user navigates to a group they automatically get to the view that suggests they're on the forum- indeed, the forum tab is the displayed one. However there's no button/link at this point for group members to make a post so it looks like they don't have permission...

If they click the link seperately in the groups panel to get to the forum, then a New Topic button appears...

My question is, is it possible to get these buttons directly on the tab in the first instance, so members don't navigate away from the group in either ignorance or frustration?

Thanks in advance.

The "Group Forum" button is directly to the left under the menu...

Of course, GJ doesn't have built in forums. It uses Kunena.

No, not yet at least. Not until Kunena 2.0 and its API to render the forums directly inside of GJ.

Just another follow up- I've changed the language line on the original screen from 'This Group has no posts.' to say 'This Group has no posts. To be the first to post click on the brown Join Group or Group Forum links just to the left.' That bit was easy.

A little help with the next challenge would be appreciated.

If the group does have posts, as I'm sure they all will, I'd like to be able to issue a similar direction but there is no language line I can change. Is there a way to add it in GroupJive, or would we have to make a sticky topic in all 30+ groups?

Thanks for your patience.

If there are posts then no message appears. It simply displays the posts. Clicking the posts will send the user to that post and to Kunena respectively. You're welcome to edit any of the GJ templates to fit your needs; the entire frontend is template based. Simply review the template folder within GJs CB plugin folder.
