auto add a group when not in group list was created by netmagic
I have read the FAQ and searched the forums. I would like to auto add a group based on the city field of the user registration.
When a new user signs up I want them to be added to the group that matches their city. But, if the city group isn't in there yet I need have a the new group created.
Is this possible?

Yes, install GJ 2.5 followed by its Auto Integration. You can create an auto to do just that after registration.

Oh boy, so is there a tutorial that describes something like this?

I started to build a new Auto but not sure what the conditional would be.
[cb_city] Not Equal to ??

So I need to compare it to all values in some data field?

Bump. I've looked at the auto config and I'm guessing I need to do a regex type of thing here. Something like:
check [cb_state] and see if it is NOT in tablename.field
if true then add a group labeled [cb_state]

Anyone know how to write the regex?

The conditions are straight value to value matching. You can't match it against a database value unless you use incubator project CB Query Field to perform a SELECT query on the database then compare against that query field.

Please don't bump posts. If you want timely replies then post to the support forums. All forums outside of the support forums are community boards and I do not monitor them on a regular basis.
