message users / categories

Hello.
if I were to select "message users" in Group Jive ... what exactly is "message"? EMAIL? or PM? if I have uddeim installed, it would use that?
If is ONLY PM, what if I want to EMAIL all members of the group?
and if I hit "message category"... does that send a message to ALL MEMBERS of ALL GROUPS in that category?

It's whatever you've configured notifications to within GJ > Configuration > Notifications > Global > Notify By. By default it's "PMS or Email". Meaning if PMs fails it'll try to email.
