Hello,

I've checked forum, FAQ and bug tracker but I have found no answer to my problem.

I've installed uddeim 1.9 (+ hotfix) in my J! 1.15.15 with CB 1.2.1, and imported the database tables from my uddeim 1.9 (correctly updated) in J! 1.0.12. I also have changed the collation of all tables.

Everything is fine but one thing: all the messages that have not been sent through CB quick message don't appear correctly in the inbox.

I can see the message, but when I open it I can't see the text. In some messages not even the first words are displayed in the inbox, so that you can't even open them.

I have no SEF components installed.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Have you used PM encryption or obfuscating (in that case uddeIM database contains base64 encoded text)? If so set the correct key in uddeIM backend.

Yes I set obfuscating and the default key is uddeIMcryptkey. How can I know the correct key for the backend?

Only /you/ can know the correct key. When you have modified the default key and lost it there is no way to restore your messages. That is how encryption works.

When you have not changed the default key, maybe the problem is somewhere else. J1.0 uses ISO encoded tables, J1.5 UTF-8 encoded ones. Maybe the encrypted text has not been converted correctly. Check if the text is the same in both - old and new - tables.

I have not changed the default key, and the texts are the same in both databases (J! 1.0 and J! 1.5).

Another element is that in the messages I can open, even if the text is not displayed, I can read it correctly in the "reply" area, as quoted text.

This means the text is ok, and it's only a display problem. No?

Strange. Maybe it is an character encoding issue. Your old text was ISO encoded which is displayed on your J1.5 installation, now.

When you send new messages, are these messages correctly displayed?
