In case the menu is shown, disable the mentioned options.
In case the menu is not shown, read the mentioned thread or the new created sticky.

I had the same issue recently on a website that has never has Community Builder installed on it:

Joomla v3.5.1
Kunena v4.0.10
uddeIM PMS v3.8

Components -> uddeIM PMS -> Integration -> Show CB gallery pictures was set to "No".

I set it to "Yes" and saved and then set it back to "No" and saved again and this fixed the issue.

I recommend you also sign up at the Kunena team's own forum. If you do that, I'd like to see a link to the thread you post, because I'm interested in how this plays out. I haven't seen this problem before so I want to know what happens, and perhaps I can help.
