Are there any known problems with Popup notifications noq?

I have used it for years, and it has worked fine.
But after updating to Joomla 3.6.5 and UddeIM 3.9, I dont get Popup notifications to work again.
Also new template, JA University with latest T3.
I have set the module to No output, tried with and without Ajax, and DHTML floating box.

Does it matter whish module position it is published in?
Any suggestions?

I also had this problem. In my case i had to activate popup in usersettings in the uddeIM PMS component. It doesn't matter in which module position it is published.

Thanks for your suggestion.
Unfortunately, this was not the issue.
That setting was already enabled.
I think the Notification module is causing this.
Notifications stopped working after update to 3.9.

Popup code has not been changes from 3.8 to 3.9 (only minor PHP 7 issues).
