We are running a latest Joomla! version website with latest Community Builder and uddeIM versions components.

This webiste is an alumni website of an high school so we have registered users with a valid email address, registered users with an invalid email address and unregistered users with a fictive email address so they can be stored in our database.

We created a directory so connected users can search for an alumnus or alumna and contact him (or her) with uddeIM.

Registered users with an invalid email address belong to the same Joomla! group thant users with a valid email address (but we can change it by creating a specific group for them). Unregistered users with a fictive email address belong to specific Joomla! users group.

What we would like to do is to disable the component for both registered users with an invalid email address and unregistered users with a ficitve email address so the "Messages" menu and therefor the "Send a private message menu" do not appear on their profile.

Is there a way to do so without hacking?
