[#6647] CB Paypal Auto Renewal - No Invoice

6 years 9 months ago - 6 years 9 months ago #295156 by bins
Just had a call from a member who has auto renewed via Paypal, our system has updated but no invoice has been created - when they go to their invoice list at the bottom of subscriptions, only last year's invoice is there!

Is there any obvious reason that I have missed?

- The original invoice is also containing the auto-recurring items
- CBSubs has never auto-generated invoices on auto-renewals.
- Only manual renewals generate new invoices.
- CBSubs is not an invoicing software, but a membership management solution.
- It is a feature request that has been submitted a few months back by an Ogone/Ingenico PSP member, and noted as #6647 , I'm adding this thread to that request, thanks.
- but it will not happen soon as it's not trivial to implement cross-payment-platforms.
EDIT: ADDED:
- if you have a customer that needs an additional invoice, the only way is to issue it to him using a separate document (using word or any other tool).

Thanks for the quick response.

I appreciate that CB is is not invoicing software, but it is not unreasonable to expect it to supply at least a receipt for payment! Adding it to the first invoice is not an acceptable solution to (probably) any countries accounting standards (strangely enough, this client is an accountant!).

Whilst I do not think it is a priority feature, it is a standard one!

I will do a manual one, but it is not the best solution.

We agree that it's "suboptimal". And that's why we have an active Feature-Request for it. Just wanted to be straight and open about it. Thanks for your understanding :)
