Since I can't read German I'm not sure what they are talking about there. My guess is they are talking about the version checker. Many programs do this, when you open the page it sends your version out and compares it to the current version to detirmine if you are up to date.

If this is not what they are talking about then I am sorry but that is the only thing that I know of that CB does.

CB sends version number AND $mosConfig_live_site not only on clicking "version check" B UT ALSO on clicking "config". If blocking this connection with a firewall, the backend crashes.

Sorry i can't explain it better in english.
