Does anyone have any opinions on how I should proceed with upgrades?

I was thinking of waiting for joomla 1.1, cb 1.0 (final version) and then doing it. Comments?

Hi I was in your situation not too long ago.

First, I would upgrade your site from mambo 4.5.2 to Joomla since these two are almost identical.
I first upgraded mambo 4.5.2 to Joomla 1.0 and then upgraded Joomla 1.0 to 1.4.

***Do not upgrade it to 1.5 There are bugs in it that kill CB which will be fixed in 1.6 which will be released in a week or so***

The upgrade from an old version to CB RC2 was very painless. Just follow the instructions found on the site.

If you are talking about gallery2 then it could not be easier. I am using the gallery2 bridge at opensource.4theweb.nl. Michael over there has just released a plugin for CB over there that ads a Gallery tab to show what pictures a person uploaded to the gallery.

i have joomla 1.0.5 and cb rc1 installed.

i see that i need to wait for 1.0.6 to upgrade to rc2, but what all is involved in that upgrade from rc1 to rc2? don't want to lose any data.

I dont think RC1 and J1.0.5 are supposed to be compatible either..

I can be wrong, but just try registering a new user on your RC1 j1.0.5 site and u'll know

RC1 to RC2 should be a breeze... a really easy upgrade.. checkout other posts around here for more info on upgrading from rc1 to rc2.. if you cant find much.. its because its so easy

well, do i just upload the rc2 component, or do i need to uninstall rc1 component first, and if so, does that delete the data?
