Hi again,

Please follows the ONLY steps (3 AND 4) for a NEW INSTALL as follows:
FROM THE README:

3) Install comprofiler.zip as a component.
NOTE: PHP Safe mode must be off for component and plugins installation in Mambo.

4) Install mod_cblogin.zip as a module.

OPTIONAL (do this step later on)
5) Install mod_comprofilerModerator.zip as a module
(Optional Module, only needed if using moderator features).

USE MY CHECKLIST to complete the rest...
- add the 3 items in usermenu of the menu manager
- Go to components and select Community Builder Tools to:

POPULATE THE TABLES,
SYNCHRONIZE USERS,
CHECK WITH COMMUNITY DATABASE CONSISTENCY

AND UNPUBLISH MAMBO LOGIN MODULE before publishing CBLOGIN.

try again, and don't use the hammer.

Oh the though of using the hammer puts a smile on my face... but you're right, I'll hold off; for now!!!

Okay let's start from the top... To uninstall, I'll use Mambo and CB uninstall. Do I leave the tables in place, because from past experience thay remain in the DB.

Thanks again for help.

Hi,

In mambo 4.6.2 Unistall CB
1. in modules
2. in components

to make sure, using phpMyAdmin, check if the 9 tables are removed. If not, then use the hammer to drop those 9 tables.

Re-install CB (comprofiler.zip and mod_cblogin.zip) with mambo Universal installers.

Have fun.

Okay... done!
Note: Had to manually remove the tables as the uninstall left them there.

HI,

1. Did you install ONLY comprofiler.zip and mod_cblogin.zip ?

2.Could you send me your comprofiler.zip and mod_cblogin.zip

3. what is the version of your zip file cb_1_1_0-unzip1st

Date, and size.

In the meantime, use phpMyAdmin to alter the table
mos_comprofiler_fields to add 2 columns
pluginid INT( 11 ) null is yes
and
params MEDIUMTEXT null is yes

these are the 2 columns to be added in the table after the sys column.

You seem to have a corrupted CB zip file.

Hi,

Your problem occured during the installation of com_comprofiler.zip

Here is the medecine:

use my com_comprofiler.zip instead. I had put some vitamin to make it work for me.

remove all the 9 comprofiler tables.
re-install com_comprofiler.zip and mod_cblogin.zip

REMEMBER: in mambo installers universal make sure all directories are green (writable), AND grant all privileges to the user which is used to run the admin backend.
