I've installed the Community Builder fine (I think), but when I go to login I get a popup saying "You are not authorised to view this"

So I try to create a new user, fill in the form, and hit submit and get taken to a page that says:

"You are not authorised to view this resource.
You need to login."

Any hints on where its going wrong?

Also in my mysql db, the table jos_comprofiler_members is empty. Is that where it stores the users?

The table jos_comprofiler has just some fields with NULL in them, dunno about that.

I did try syncing the database stuff and it said it did.
