I am getting this error and have searched the web to find a solution. I am currently trying to install CB_1_1_0 on a VPS. The strange thing about is that I did it in another directory (different domain) just the other day and it worked without a problem. Strange I am using 1.5.7 Joomla. The error:

JFolder::create: Could not create directory, cannot write entry.

Can someone please tell me what areas CB is trying to write or a pointer of what files are being executed so that I can trace and see what the code is doing and check my permissions. I am well versed in Unix/Linux and comfortable coding but I'm not seeing something so any pointers would be helpful.

Getting the same error, not sure what the problem is:(
I am trying to install on a hosted server and Joomla 1.5.3.

edit: nevermind, I have realized that the version of CB I am trying to install is not compatible with my joomla. Guess I am out of luck:(
