I'm fairly new to Joomla! and a total novice with Community Builder.
I've created a brand new site, uploaded & installed successfully a clean Joomla! 1.5.7
Legacy mode is enabled.
I downloaded the Community Buider 1.2 RC2 and extracted it.
The detailed Guide says I should see a file "compiler.zip" - I can only find the file "com_compiler.zip" - I've assumed ( never assume anything ! ) that this is the file I want.
When I come to peform a 'single upload & install' I get the message : Warning! Failed to move file.
I've tried Method #2 ( two step install ) without success at all.
I suspect that I've got some write permissions wrongly set ( perhaps ! )
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

i have the exact same problem will let you know if i find a fix, im guessing its something to do with permissions and maybe the fact i did not fill the ftp details in on joomla install

Edit: ok ive set the ftp up and changed permissions still the same error

ok im swiftly deleting the software if it is anything like the help i will not want to use it.

Mine never works until I make sure all the folders are properly writable. Joomla used to do this while installing, but now it doesn't.

Go to Help-->System Info-->Directory Permissions
Make sure all the folders are green.
