Re-install of CB yields JFTP::mkdir: Bad response

15 years 1 week ago #94226 by silverphoto
I had CB installed and it was glitchy as all get out- fields not showing up, filling in required fields that wouldn't stay filled in, tabs not showing up, fields not showing up during registration (even though required) and more. So I uninstalled CB and tried to re-install and this is what I get:

JFTP::mkdir: Bad response
JFTP::chmod: Bad response
JFTP::store: Bad response
Warning! Failed to move file.

I read the other posts with this error but didn't see exactly what I needed to change.
Please walk me through with baby steps.

Thanks in advance.

This is a server error your hosting support should be able to help you resolve. When using different user names (such as FTP accounts) to change files, the file ownership is changed. Thus, when you try to access the files through Joomla, the files are not writable, because ownership has been changed.
