I couldn't get captcha 1.0 to work as no image were generated. I read in this forum that I've needed to upgrade and the only way to that was to pay for a subscription and so I did. But the only version available were 2.2 of cbcaptcha and this is not comptable with my cb 1.1 version. I know there should be a 2.0 version of captcha plugin but is nowere to find. I can't upgrade to cb 1.2 because of the amount of changes I made to it in the past so a really need the captcha 2.0 plugin.
