I am in the same situation. It is so frustrating with the lack of support to community builder. It is insane... :angry:

I have been searching on the web for a week now to try to fix little things here and there just ot make a basic thing look at least right, not even great...

I fel like dropping this whole community concept and use only a basic Joomla website with a forum. CB makes my site look ridiculous with all these bugs.

ISSUES:
I am using the whole website in French. CB shows some strange labels in the menu tabs. something like: _UE_FBORD_ORDERING

I know it seems like it is the FB pluging that srews the whole project. But I tried FB in its own and it worked as a charm.

www.dzmed.com is the website... don't need to subscribe it sucks :)

removing the line 529 of com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbcore/cb.core.php

which reads:
Code:

$params->loadSetupFile(JApplicationHelper::getPath( 'com_xml', 'com_users' ));

and changing line 528 which reads:
Code:

$params =& $juser->getParameters();

to

Code:

$params =& $juser->getParameters
Hope it works:ohmy:

Hi,

i wonder if you know why i am getting the following problem.

Am wanting to edit the core.php file, but it appears that the entire folder structure is locked in FTP and gives me errors when i try to:
-upload to the server
-Edit a file

I have just reinstalled the complete site without CB installed, then installed a fresh install of CB, and found i have the same FTP errors (as i had on hte previous install). So i am unable to edit any files.

I am using SmartFTP and getting a '550' error, but also tried FileZilla and Cpanel, and get similar error messages.

I can only assume that CB is doing something to these folders during installation ??

Any thoughts would be appreciated

thanks

Andy

Hi...

i know this thread is old. but there is a way to upload the files, if your ftp-client doesnt do that.

you have to install a component like "ninjaxplorer" or "joomxplorer" to upload joomla-files on an existing joomla-page.

try it...and smile...B)
