Any hope for full, direct LDAP support?

I want to use Joomla as a centralized profile manager for about a dozen site packages and other services. To do that I need CB to support syncing with LDAP. Not just simple authentication.

CB core allows to do such things through CB plugins, but such a plugin would have to be developped. :)

I have no idea how to do that and no money to pay someone to do it. Odd theres no interest in LDAP around here, its great for bridging sites and services. The biggest problem is stuff like this, site packages not taking advantage of existing standards.

Guess I have to drop CB and find something else.
