Anyone working on a social networking site in the US NEEDS age verification. The US government is cracking down on social networking sites such as MySpace and FaceBook and many others that don't put efforts in place to stop kids thirteen and under from accessing their sites and making it difficult to users to block personal info.

IMHO, this is a critical feature that should be implemented into CB as soon as possible or it may greatly impact the number of US web sites that can even use CB.
While I'm not a lawyer, I also want to add that it's not just a good thing to do, it seems its the law to comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule):
