I'm new to Joomla and CB but so far I haven't seen this and would really appreciate it and think others would also.

Built in to CB the ability to designate either a tiered user system of users or groups of users.

Each group having permissions set independently to be able to view content alloted to certain groups but not others.

If there's already some way of doing this please let me know, if not I think it would be very helpful

With the combination of JACL plus component and perhaps Advanced Profile Control, you can create very versatile solutions. Since you did not include much information on the specifics, I cannot give you more exact answer.
