It's been mentioned before but I thought I'd throw in my two penneth.

From what I can see at the moment being a CB Newbie is that the "Connection Types" are fixed in the backend by Admin.

What really really appeals to me is to have a short list like an IM that the user can set as their current status.

This would be done in the users profile via a plug-in, ie set current status...

"Looking to buy", "Looking to sell" "Looking for ...." could all be examples.

This way users would be able to see who is after what and give them a strong reason for contacting other users.

My question to the Code Lords of CB is where do I start to hack to create such a functionality?

If someone could be so kind enough to give me some pointers that would be great.
