The link goes to the page where you have again to click on the logout button. The question is how to logout imediately after first click on logout.

that is also my problem... When I click the log out link it will redirect me to a page asking that I'm on a private area of the site then I have to click the log out button again... It's to much of a hassle for my clients that is why im looking for a way to log out immediately...

I tried using
[code:1]index.php?option=com_user&task=logout[/code:1]
but that only returned a white page (no redirect to startpage or anything)

Apparently the logout works but the white page is pretty annoying. Does anyone have another idea or even better a solution?!

Not sure if you solved this and I know this topic is a little dated, but in J1.5/CB1.2rc4, this works like a champ:

Add a menu link and use the External link and paste this index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=logout

Your Logout page can now perform the same as logout feature of your CB Login module.

For redirection you go to the module manager and open your CB login module. You have there redirection for login and logout.


This is best for joomla 1.5 and CB 1.2
