How to make a date ordered CB list with automatic record aging

In the similar line with what's been discussed in this thread, I'm trying to figure out the following.
One of my tabs has a special deal info. This special deal has an expiry date and once the current date passes this expiry date, the deal no longer shows up on a custom user list that displays a series of special deals.
The only criterion I don't know how to create is this expiry date.
Please advise.

In case there's anyone looking for an answer to the same question I posted, the query to use is as below:
`cb_yourfieldname` >= CURDATE()
`cb_yourfieldname` >= CURDATE()
