Does CB have a function to allow for individual users to access a specified article or file? I'd like to be able to create pages w/ info for just one client, and have that client be able to access that page, with no other users able to access it. I know this is kind of a ACL issue, and that there are ACL programs out there, but they all have issues that don't ultimately do what I need.

If it's not something you'll need a lot, your best bet is setting up a password protected page for the user and simply give them the password. You can either do this with a snippet of code you can search for on the web or through CPanel or your host's interface.

If you need something more often, then you'll want to search Joomla Extensions .

i am also searching one solution for forum/download/messenger system that will allow individual access control... But so far, i was able only to discover that DocMan has this options (to restrict download and upload files to an one user) but i cant find nothing to control forum posts.
Cb sounds good at start but...
