Hi All,

I am sure this is a simple answer, but I've searched the forums and am finding lots of posts with no answer, and can't figure this out myself.

Where can I modify the page which appears if the username/password is incorrect? I don't want it to re-display the username/password box as these are shown at all times in a module, and I want to show a couple more lines of text.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply.

I figured it out eventually and the solution I used is posted here:

www.joomlasuffolk.co.uk/joomla-related/h...content-article.html

Doesn't get around editing what already appears, but does let you change it to have a custom page appear.

I'm having the same issue. I customized the cb login mod to fit inline in the top menu bar of my site and I really don't need the re-display of the login; but what's worse is that the re-display looks like crap because of all the altering I did to make the module look good in the menu bar (see image attachment).

I've searched for hours in the mod_cblogin.php and other files just looking for a clue on how to re-direct incorrect pass/usernames to another page or somehow alter the current re-direction page...to no avail.

Then, I finally found this post and the solution posted here. OVERJOYED!!! At first. I followed the instructions and made the changes to the three proposed files. No effect. An incorrect pass/username still gets directed to the same funky page. Now, perhaps I'm not executing the solution right, but I would think it would have had some effect if it was intended to on that feature. But nothing.

What I'm confused about mainly:

The url in the solution is:

index.php?option=com_user&view=login

but the re-direction page from the cb login mod is:

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=login

I would be most grateful if somebody could shed any more light on the subject?

Thanks for your help,

JnK Davis

By the way, I'm using the following software:
CB 1.2.1
Joomla 1.5.14
Firefox 3.5.5
MAMP 1.8
