Cannot confirm user in back end was created by julos08
Hello everybody,

I'm using CB 1.2 with joomla 1.5.10 "php 5.2.5" and I don't succeed to confirm an email user in the backend, I followed the instruction of this post : www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com_joomlaboard/func,view/catid,29/id,33633/

But nothing to do when I save the user, he is still not confirm and stay with the red cross "Unconfirmed".

I was looking very long time for a solution in the forum but i didn't find the solution.

Thanks in advance

If you are requiring an email confirmation, you can only confirm if you:
1. have access to their email to confirm yourself or,
2. alter the database table to show the user as confirmed (not recommended).

Thanks for the answer, If I understood, in the newest version of CB, it's not possible for the super administrator to confirm the email if the user forgot or has deleted the confirmation email.

It's not possible to change a code in the compoment to allow the super administrator, to confirm the email user ??

I think it's important when you have a community of user who don't know very good the informatic and when we know that their email address is correct and if we disable the option for the confirmation of the email, we will meet lot of problem with the spams.

If the user attempts to log in again before confirming, it will resend the confirmation email automatically.

Yes of course but certain webmail consider the email like a spam and delete the email.

And it's very difficult for me to ask of the user to change the email address.

It sounds like you don't want email confirmation enabled then since you're wanting to override its functions anyway. I suggest changing the setting in CB Settings and search for a post I saw in the last couple days for mass confirmation of the users that registered prior that you need to confirm manually.
