I just installed CB RC2.

My environment is Joomla (latest stable version), Joomlaboard (latest stable version) and uddeIM (0.4).

I have a question concerning the Connections-Tab:

I set "Email Handling" in the administration of CB to "Do not display email". Unfortunately, the small mail-picture below each user in the connection tab does not disappear. But when one clicks on it, one gets an error message that "you're not allowed to view this" (sorry, free translation from the german version).

Wouldn't it be better to let the letter-icon disappear? Or even better: Is it possible to connect this icon with the PMS system, so when one clicks on it, it creates a new message in uddeIm (or whatever pms you're using)?

by the way: When I set "Notification & Notification Method" in the Connections tab on the back-end configuration to "PMS" - does this also work when uddeIM instead of MyPMS (pro) is installed?

yes! just publish the correct PmS plugin or one you know your PMS system is compatible with, and ur good to go.

Plugins for mypms, uddeim and mypmspro are already included.

hmmm...

On my site, CB has the following behaviour when one clicks on the mail-icon in the connections-tab:

- when setting "Email Handling" in the backend configuration of cb (general tab) to "Display Link to E-Mail form", the user gets redirected to a small form, where they can send the user a mail via the displayed form.

- when setting "Email Handling" in the backend configuration of cb (general tab) to "Do Not Display Email", the user gets only an error message that they are not allowed to view this.


If I understood you right, nant, you mean that "Display Link To Email Form" and "Do Not Display Email" should have the same behaviour (displaying a small form)?

I just switched from uddeIM to MyPMS II (OS). The conections now have an additional PM-image. very nice! This was exactly what I was looking for! :o)
But the email-icon is still there - even when saying "do not display email"... does someone else have the same behaviuor?

The pms plugin that comes with CB is supposed to support both uddeIM, myPMS OS and myPMS Pro. So when you change the messaging System in the backend, the little PM icon becomes a link to the correct messaging system (if it is installed).

So, if you use uddeIM as your messaging system (and choose it in the backend), you should see the PM icons on the connection tab.
