Hey, i tried to modify the login function in the comprofiler.php so users can login using their email, but, it won't work. Does someone here know how to do it. thanks....

i 4got wat I did. But anyway, easy way to do jst the login part is to go to /includes/joomla.php of your joomla installation and in function login, change the query to

$query = "SELECT *" . "\n FROM #__users" . "\n WHERE email = '$username'". "\n AND password = '$passwd'"
