Link to separate Lists

Link to separate Lists was created by orthonet
I have community builder setup and all is working extremely well. It is a pretty impressive componenet.

Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to call/link to a specific list that has been created.

I have created two lists:
Members Directory
Public Directory

THe Public directory is just supposed to show the name of members, address, etc.

THe Members Directory shows additional information such as email address etc and links to their profile.

THe Link to the public directory is set so that Everyone can access it.

The Link to the members directory is set so that only Registered users can access it. ie. it is within a Members Area menu.

I initiall had the URL set as index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=usersList

but when I added the Public Directory to the List Management area and set it to Default then the Members Directory link shows the Public Directory with a drop down that shows both the Members and Public Directory.

So I tried to call the Members Directory using
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=usersList&listid=4&Itemid=90&action=search&lang=en

which is the URL return from the drop down but still CB shows the Public Directory.

Question:

How can I show/link to a specific List without always defaulting to the Default List?

Regards

Christian

any luck with this yet Christian? I'm starting to tackle the same sort of ground. I have CB1RC2 installed, and can access Admin OK, but want to have 3 "views" on the list info - one public, one for the user themselves, and one for the moderator/administrator.

I also need to understand how to link into the component using parameters, and use the modules properly.

Have you obtained the elusive user guide?

All the best,

Unfortunately no luck yet.

Have tried pretty much everything to try and get an individual list to show instead of the default but doesn't seem possible.

Hopefully one of the dev crew will be able to provide some assistance.

Best regards

Christian

Did you ever figure this out? I usually do this with a url link, but you need to know the listid number. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be displayed anywhere obvious.

A link looks like this:
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=usersList&listid=55&action=search

I'm sure you can get the listid from the table, but that seems unreasonable.

You can also get it by looking at the source code where the drop down menu of lists is displayed.
This so seems like it should be available as a parameter

Thanks MCSMOM, I followed your directions and was able to link to a list directly.

I'm looking for something like what orthonet is asking for.

I do have a full list with a drop down menu. Besides this I would like to have several individual lists (list of members in a certain club) that do not have this drop down list and that I can link to direktly.

Is it possible to create a list that does not shop up in the drop down list - and you can link to directly?

thx
