How do I disallow links to pdf files?

How do I disallow links to pdf files? was created by jdsawlor
I have a problem with cbsubs.
No where can I find a way of stopping other sub plans from accessing links to my pdf's from the menus.
I have tried to stop access by directory but they still have access to the link and still can download the file.
Could someone help me with this somewhat easy fix?

Edit your Plan -> Integrations -> Extensions -> By URL Part and try the following.
index.php?view=article&catid=CATEGORY_ID&format=pdf
Replace category id of course. You could also be more specific with the following.
index.php?view=article&catid=CATEGORY_ID&id=ARTICLE_ID&format=pdf
index.php?view=article&catid=CATEGORY_ID&format=pdf
