No.1: "You have not logged in" remains on the screen even after you have logged in and the screen is refreshed/reloaded (this at first gave me the feeling that the logging was not successful).

Now this is something interesting.
My website is sixdose.com, and the index page redirects to sixdose.com/mambo where I have the entire Joomla package.

I went to Edit > Login Redirection URL and filled it --
Both 'sixdose.com' and 'sixdose.com/mambo' worked, and the error message disappeared when I logged in.

If you leave the Redirection URL blank, it is supposed to load the frontpage ('sixdose.com/mambo'), but, despite this, it doesn't remove the error message when you log in. Quite a quirky to a novice like me.

FOLLOW UP (please read my last posting).

The "You have not logged in" problem has been carried forward to Joomla 1.0.7, which I found out just now, but the same solution works.

DON'T LEAVE THE 'LOGIN REDIRECTION URL' BLANK
