hmtlenties problem was created by ivoapostolov
This thing is making huge problems with cyricil.
It definitely doesn't works with it.

known problem, fixed in next one.

quick fix in the mean time: replace all htmlentities with htmlspecialchars

Do you mean to replace all instances of htmlenties in all files? Another thought I had was to convert text fields to text areas (where special characters work fine), but there wasn't an obvious way to do that via the component admin.

Thanks beat. Unfortunately, replacing htmlentities didn't solve my problem. Text fields are still displaying ampersands incorrectly. Do you have another trick up your sleeve? appreciate it!

The ampersands are now on their way to be fixed for the upcoming 1.0 stable. Unfortunately, not a simple fix to explain like the above one.
