Ok, so Community building and loving it ! The site is tri-lingual and CB functions like a dream accept for new user sign-ups... Using the CB Login RC2 and or /component/option,com_comprofiler/task,registers/ link for new-account, it will only display the registration form in the default language of the site(as set by joomla)
So if the default language is set to english, the user clicks french... then Apply for new account, he will get an internal server error 500
Equally by publishing the default language to French in Joomla, the problem will occur to english users...

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

That piece does not containt the errorm essage 500. Gettong a few lines fo virtuemart logs does not help much in debugging Community Builder. Find the line which contains the error message and see what the problem is.
