IE over-lap problems.. was created by dguywill
Greetings all,

I am creating a community using community builder and everything is going well. However, I have a small problem when I display a new tab I created to show "profile info". The new tab is overlapping the right column of my template. That is the only tab that does that. It displays correctly in Firefox. Here is a picture show the problem:

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem.

Thanks in advance,
Dee.

I am sorry for the error. The system did not all my image file because of its name. Here is the image:

This looks like an error in your template... ;)

Probably easiest is to remove:
[code:1]<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>[/code:1]

from your template (it's in the index.php file of the template).

This statement makes IE run into quirks (non-w3c) mode.

I am having a problem pretty similar to this however, my Community Builder profile area is slipping to below the left column of a 2 column template. It appears to load properly, but when the entire community builder section loads, it drops down.....

EDIT: this happens on 4 of my templates....not just this one

(and also, there is not ?xml statement in *my* template, which is why I am curious as to where I adjust this error)

- is this in IE or FireFox only or in both ?
- what are the first few lines of your header ?
- does it say html 4 or xhtml 1 ?
- does your template validate w3c html and CSS ?

validator.w3.org/
jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

As long as your template doesn't validate html and css, you may have such surprises in some browsers ;) ...rarely even after :D

CB works in all official templates, and also in most free ones. The user profile html code and css files of RC2 validate w3c.

I can't give free template support during my free time more than the above, sorry ;)
