I use CB 1.8 with joomla 2.5.4
In our case I want the profile name diferent then the username where the profile is registerd on.

I want to use a special created field where users can place there profile name in.
Is this posible? and if yes how?

Do you mean the profile page title? You can use any field value in the title field with CB substitutions.

1. Create your custom name as a text field i.e. cb_coolname
2. goto tab manager -> edit CBcore tab "ProfilePageTitle" -> see and edit first parameter on the right panel
3. replace _UE_PROFILE_TITLE_TEXT with your text and/or custom field... like this:

This is the Profile of [cb_coolname]


PS: The [] are important!

what i ment is direct url to the profile:
component/comprofiler/userprofile/*
and the * must be the field cb_coolname field as well...

now is that the username of the person but want to have that changed to this field.

is that posible?
