multicheck boxes in the search form not aligned

13 years 3 months ago #152239 by jakobe75
my multicheck box in the search form wont line up properly
they line up horizontally and they look broken this way.

its like they are too skinny
even changing the size doesnt really line them up properly.

I just want a vertical list

but in the tabs they look fine

size: 0
columns: 2
rows: 3

Looks bad in FF and IE but looking at it in Ios or Android looks fine...?

cant seem to pin point anything in firebug though

suggestions?

since my initial post
I have tried to switch templates even using CB coolness and the stock joomla template
and it still looks bad

in the field properties I can assign rows/and columns, but it doesnt seem to do anything

when a user uses the search form or they edit their profile
the multicheck boxes look horrible.

I can make the choices "display" better using a delimiter on the tab
but not for the areas where users input data into the checkbox. (ie search and edit profile)

I have found a few posts of others with the same issues, but no clear way to fix it.

it seems the check boxes just stack one after another.

they should adhere to the settings in the field properties on other places than front end tab output.

how to fix?

thanks

okay maybe found a fix.

this needs to be done with each field type that has this issue.
each time you use it.

the system doesnt "style" all of them by default

in the field properties

this setting seems to work for me

size: 50

columns:1
rows: 0

you could prolly research your cb profile templte css more and find to align it even more.

I had to make minor adjustments to padding and margin for optimal spacing.

not sure why this escaped me before....?
