DB function reports no errors

DB function reports no errors was created by xclntdesign
Brand new install of Community Builder 1.3.1 into Joomla 1.5.22.

When trying to register a user, I receive a popup window "DB function reports no errors" and the same message appears above my registration form, but the user does not appear in the user list.

When I check the users database, I see the error:

Warning: 1 entries in the users table without corresponding core_acl_aro table rows.

Everything I've read so far in the forums says to make sure the collations are the same, and they are, every table is utf8_general_ci. I also saw a thread about recreating the jos_core_acl_aro_groups table, which I tried to no avail.

I have no other CB plugins used. I have disabled the Joomla login module, changed the Allow User Registration setting to "yes, independently of global site setting" and disabled user logins in the Joomla Global Configuration.

Anyone have any other ideas I can try?

Joomla 1.5.22
CB 1.3.1
PHP 5.2.11
MySQL 5.1.36
All necessary directory permission are set to Writable

Welcome to the forum.

When you check the user database, does the tool offer you to fix the database? Have you by any chance migrated your Joomla from an 1.0 version?

For more information, turn on Joomla's error report function and set it to maximum output.

Nope, this was a brand new install of 1.5.22.

I changed the error reporting to Maximum, and I get no additional errors.

Here is the complete text from the Check Users database screen:

All Community Builder comprofiler table rows have links to user table.

All users table rows have links to comprofiler table.

users table has no zero id row.

comprofiler table has no zero id row.

All rows in comprofiler table have user_id columns identical to id columns.

Warning: 1 entries in the users table without corresponding core_acl_aro table rows.

user id: 71 are missing in core_acl_aro table

This one can be fixed by first backing up database then by clicking here.

All ACL core_acl_aro table rows have corresponding entries in users table.

All core_acl_aro table rows have ACL entries in core_acl_groups_aro_map table.

All core_acl_aro table rows have ACL entries in core_acl_groups_aro_map table.

I can fix there error, but I don't want to have to go through that every time a new user signs up.

Since the site is still in development, would you recommend uninstalling CB and all of the modules and reinstalling?

Hi all,

I'm having the same problem!

Users even randomly appear and disappear from my User Management list. New Users not receiving confirmation emails or password emails. Its a real mess. I also have OSE ACL and a couple more plugins enabled. But CB is directed as core platform in each.

Also, if anyone can direct me to where I may find/edit the outgoing emails/communications to users, I'd appreciate this too. I'd like to change the settings as well as the phrasing and haven't been able to find it!

Any advice/solution will be greatly appreciated!

Now I'm showing you how much of a newbie I am...lol!:silly:

But it looks like a solution on my end and will hopefully help others:

I had a User privilege checked incorrectly. I went to:

Site>Global Configuration>User Settings>Allow User Registration>Yes

I had "no" checked before and that appears to be the issue there.

I'd still appreciate it if anyone can direct me to where the outgoing messages to new users/registrants are. I'd also like to find a way to bypass one of these steps...too much for registrants to do at this point and I don't want to lose anyone!

cheers,:cheer:

I uninstalled CB and manually removed all of the comprofiler tables from my database.

I installed version 1.4, following all of the instructions, and I am still receiving the error "DB function reports no errors" when registering.

If I go into Tools, I can repair the tables and all of the new users show up.

This is a new install of Joomla 1.5.22 and CB 1.4.

Could any of these be causing the problem?
T3 Framework
K2
WAMP

From what I've found online, CB and K2 seem to work fine together, but I don't know about the other 2.
