TOPIC: Please enter a valid e-mail address

Please enter a valid e-mail address 2 years 3 months ago #154053

This error - "Please enter a valid e-mail address" - pops up when I am trying to register my CB would be user without an email address using CB 1.3.1 registration form.

I've set
New User Account Activation in my Joomla 1.5.22 Global configuration to No,
Allow User Registration - same as global 'Allow registration' site setting,
Require email confirmation - No,
email field in Field management tab - disabled in every column, except of Published.

What am I doing wrong? I've tried to search our forum as well as Google but to no avail.

Cheers,

Alex

An email address is mandatory. This is a Joomla restriction and CB supports/honors it.

The fact that you have configured CB to not ask for email confirmation does not - in any way - mean that the email must not be provided.

Hi Nick,

Thank you for prompt answer regardless of Sunday eve.

Why does the Field manager allow to disable the "email" field in the "Registration" column which gracefully takes "email" field off of the registration form?
