I'm not the webdev guy on this project, but would like to know your thoughts.

we're using CB 1.2.3 -- How outdated is this? I only have like 9 members thusfar. Would upgrading it be a problematic issue?

Do I need any knowledge in php, css or html to complete an upgrade and add plugins? Or is this pieces just fit within joomla?
