When I run the Database checker under tools I get several errors non of which are corrected by running the scripts included with the errors.

The Component also does not show up in the components menu.

Hi,
I'm not a profi at all but I think I just solved a similar problem so what I did might help somebody.

My case was that I had to reinstall CB and that's when the troulde started.

One sulution that helped me out was deleting data from all COM_COMPROFILER columns (only THEM!) in "..._menu" database table.

It seems when you delete CB, the data in these columns doesn't get erased which results in the trouble when you try to reinstall the CB extention. I hope I was able to make myself clear.
