Cannot edit / save profile changes in the backend

I have just installed CB it has imported my users from the joomla user manager, but has put the passwords in the username field, when I edit these and try to save nothing happens i cannot use the save or cancel buttons on the page.
also cannot manually confirm registrations the red cross will not change no matter what
can anyone please assist thanks

CB version?
What you seem to be experiencing is weird and I have never seen it before.
Suggest you start CB installation over and follow instructions as they are given in installation guide.

Try uninstalling CB first and dropping all tabled that have word comprofiler from your database, then install again.

use phpmyadmin to drop all comprofiler tables.
