Upgrade-Service was created by degard
Hi,

I am totally confused wether I do have the latest version or not and what plugin I can download from where??

As long I now finally upgraded tp ptofessional, why don't you provide all the stuff under "Professional"? (there are only 5 files!)

Do I have to check all the membership-areas?

Where do I find the latest basis cb?

Why don' t you you provide an upgrade-service?

Mark

As a Professional member you have access to the following:

1. Professional Download area here:
www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/cat_view/76-professional-member-download-area

The Professional download area above contains any RC releases of CB, GroupJive, etc that are currently applicable. Old non-applicable releases are placed in the Professional Archive section. At the moment there are no applicable RC releases for Professionals. When new releases are available all Professional members receive an email notification.

2. Advanced Download area here:
www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/cat_view/56-advanced-member-download-area

This area contains all items described on our CB Add-ons page here:
www.joomlapolis.com/cb-solutions/add-ons

and this area also contains the latest CB documentation.

3. The Incubator area (on our forge) here:
forge.joomlapolis.com/projects/incubator

This area contains all incubator projects described here:
www.joomlapolis.com/cb-solutions/incubator

This area is maintained very often and new releases are added all the time. Once you download something from a forge project area you will be notified of new builds placed in this area.

4. The Free Download area here:
www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/cat_view/77-free-member-download-area

This area contains latest stable CB release, the CB API documentation and other free downloads.

Hope this is clearer now.

I believe answers were given ...

Let me try again:

I believe my previous response answered part of this.
The latest version available is shown in each respective download area.
There is no backend notification (if this is what you are hinting for) to tell you that a newer version of an installed plugin exists or not.

As long I now finally upgraded tp ptofessional, why don't you provide all the stuff under "Professional"? (there are only 5 files!)

Because as a professional member you have access to Free items (located in the Free download area), to Advanced items (located in the Advanced Download area), Release candidates (located in the Professional Download area) and Incubator downloads (forge area).

We do not duplicate already existing packages, sorry.

Do I have to check all the membership-areas?

Yes

Where do I find the latest basis cb?

Answered before also --> Free Download area

I don't understand:

Are you referring our paid services? We offer paid installation services, but not upgrade services?

Or are you thinking of something else?

Thanks for the detailed answer!

With upgrdae-service I mean a hint in the joomla backend (under cb), that says there is something newer.

It would be much more clearly to show ALL the plugins/components on ONE page, e.g. see attachment

In the moments it cost hours to search the latest version and to understand what is what, very annoying and no fun at all ...

My installations of CB and CB Subs do show a notice in red on each main component page when there are newer versions available.
