CB 1.4 and Joomla 1.6 Language Switcher was created by paul.necsoiu
Hi,

Please make CB compatible with Joomla 1.6 Language Switcher module and Language Filter plugin.

For example if an user change the language on the site with the Joomla 1.6 Language Switcher then register it must that CB Pending Approval Email and CB Welcome Email to be sent in that language.

Now we can get these emails only in one language because we can not even enter language strings (_UE_ ) to translate this emails.

I think you must make CB registration process like the Joomla 1.6 registration process meaning that you must alow us to enter in the CB Pending Approval Email and CB Welcome Email language strings and not simple text, and that language strings will be translated in the CB language files.

For example in the CB Pending Approval Email field I want to enter only : _UE_PENDING_APPROVAL_EMAIL and this string to be customized and translated in the CB Language File.

In this way when a user change the language on the site and then register it will receive the approval emails in his language.

Did you try to create a new language string containing the full message?

This should work.

What doesn't work is trying to put multiple language strings and text in the body text area.

Tanks,

It works very well.

I have one last question.

How can I ensure that my custom language strings will not be removed when I will update CB?

I guess I can not use the Joomla 1.6 overrides folder because the CB language file are not compatible with Joomla 1.6 language files.

What can I do then to keep my custom language strings after CB update?

You need to install your language file and not make changes to CB default language files.
A CB upgrade will over-write default files but will not touch other plugins.
