Is there a way to remove the Threaded View option?

I don't want to tamper with all the related code and sashay into trouble. It will suffice if I can stop the Flat/Threaded switch being displayed in the forum menu (Top).

I may as well mention the context of my strange note.

1. Clicking 'threaded view' entails error messages like
Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in ... components/com_joomlaboard/thread.php on line 95

2. Every message read using 'flat view' comes marked as new or unread in 'threaded view'.
