I created a section on my Joomla site that allows downloads of mp3s for registered and logged in users.

I created a download page attached to the pre-requisite Section and Category. The page itself is accessible only to logged in users. Within this page I embed the link for the files I want them to have access to.

My problem is that the actual mp3 files themselves are not restricted to registered users who are logged in. Is there a way to configure this? Once users see the URL for the actual Mp3s they can re-use or distribute without needing anyone to login.

Also, when a non logged in user tries to access the page, they get a terse "You are not authorized to view this resource" message. Is there a configuration file somewhere where I can edit or customize this error message to make it sound friendlier?
