uddeIM 0.8 does not support J1.5 / SVN trunk does was created by slabbi
The problem with J!1.5 is that J!1.5 encapsulates lagacy modules in a class. A result of this encapsulation is that "global variables" (in uddeIM <=0.8 quite all config variables are globals, which actually was not my idea 
) are not longer available globally.
As soon as the configuration file problem is solved, uddeIM will work with J!1.5.
19.11.2007: Currently I am looking for some beta testers running J!1.5. uddeIM 0.9 is in a very early state, so plz do expect that everything is working fine.
20.11.2007: The first two beta testers have received a heavily modified uddeIM for J!1.5
26.11.2007: The trunk version of uddeIM is compatible to J!.5 in lagacy mode now!
