Hi, one of the big missing feature in the good uddeIM, in my opinion, is the possibility of have attachments to the messages, very important when you need to pass small files (like screen dumps) and dont have a site on which download files and then reference the URL in the message.
Is it something under design? I appreciated that feature in the JAM component and in the messenger sw of this site (along with possibility of setting the message title) so I'd like to see in uddeIM if possible.

Currently it is not under design, maybe in future but definitely not in uddeIM 1.1 which will be the upcoming version.

I saw that its on the tracker, now. I do not know if I like the idea. Maybe it does more sense to give users a real email account on the server for that purpose.

Maybe I implement this feature in future but not for uddeIM 1.1. There are so many other things to do.

Hi, in my opinion it is very convenient since the user should have to share publicly its email address and that's not very good in this spam era. Besides that, PMS are a very easy way for quick messaging and sometime you need to attach small files like a screen dump to tell what you are seeing on the screen.
Other PMS (like JAM) are supporting that, so I think it would be a very good addition to uddeIM.
