I was thinking of using UddeIM as an Instant Messenger component. Something that uses third party plugins/APIs like Skype, QQ, ICQ, MSN, Gtalk, AOL, Jabber and Yahoo to start live chat.

I have tested it and it's great for registered users for quick messaging and for the public for ? invite a friend (may be).
