I hope I am not posting this in the wrong forum, if I am I apologize and feel free to move this thread to where it belongs.

I need my registered users to be able to subscribe (and unsubscribe) to a content category or section. Similar to the way a user might subscribe to a thread in any forum software.

My registered users need to be alerted (via email) when new content is added to the website in the section that they are interested in.

Does anyone know a solution?

I have asked this question on the Joomla forum and received no response.

Not possible with CB and has nothing to do with CB.

I think this is a MASSIVE oversight for Joomla.

I was hoping CB could have solved a huge problem for Joomla.
