Either way, custom fields are not possible. You could do a custom tab that includes the field, but its quite a bit of coding.

anything is possible! You can't disagree with this being a great possible function!

CB/Joomla golf site: www.thegolfspace.com
Geek/joomla site: www.tkserver.com

Check out my Joomla/CB projects:

* LIKE thumbs up system for "liking" content items
* Karma - CB user rating system
* Golf Score Tracker
* Jitter - status update system. "What's on your mind?"
* CB Author Plug - Shows CB author link and avatar in content items. J1.5 compatible and very customizable!

Found on my web site or in the Joomlapolis Directory !

It would be a great function, certainly. A more general really usefull function would be to have any kind of file in the field.

But only way to make this happen currently is to really hack CB. With the current version of CB, it is not possible to add new field types as plugins. I never ment to disagree about usefullness of this, just to point out that I doubt this will be reality anytime soon.

Certainly, with open source anything is possible if you wish to code. Some things just take more time to code than others.

It is possible...
I don't know how, but I've seen such a thing.
There is a Polish site for rovers (older scouts) where you declare what rank in scouting you have, and then it displays an image of a rank.

There is even more to that:
you can choose whether you have a tourist badge, and if no the image of the badge is in grayscale, and if yest the appropriate badge is in full color (highlited)...

I've asked how it's done, and as soon as I know I'll let you know.
